We were so glad to celebrate Pints for Sight with Combat Blindness International last night. CBI was invited to local brewery Next Door Brewing to help create their own batch of beer (it’s called Sightless.. pretty spot on huh?) and then host an event raising money to find blindness around the world.
Pints were $5 (and came with their own CBI pint glass) and $1 from every sale was donated directly back to Combat Blindness. Pint glasses were also for sale as well as a drawing for one of CBI’s excellent new tshirts.
The event had a great turn out, raised some money and awareness for the truly incredible work that CBI does for Madison and the world.
COMBAT BLINDNESS INTERNATIONAL’S MISSION (in their own words)
Our primary mission is supporting cost-effective cataract surgical intervention in the developing world, where a blind man, woman or child will see once again for just $20. We can do this because of strategic partnerships with indigenous medical facilities and professionals, and direct access to low-cost yet high-quality intra-ocular lenses.
